Cut one long piece of white yarn for each student and tie them together at one end, which will be the center of the web. Give each student in the group one length of the yarn and have them stretch the pieces in different directions to make a web. Next, give each student a multiplication equation and a handful of paper or plastic spiders.
Have students place the spiders at different points along their string to model the multiplication facts, following skip-counting patterns as they solve each problem.
